KASC firmly believes that all competitions need to be a healthy and positive experience, with a focus on a child’s Personal Best and effort.

By competing in Club Time Trials throughout each season (long course and short course), swimmers have the ability earn individual ‘merit points’.

Merit points are awarded for competing and improving on Personal Best (PB) times (at time trials only).

The merit points system is divided into age groups for Male and Females.

Age groups are: 8yrs/under, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs, 15-16yrs and Open.

(Swimmers age is calculated as at the 30th June for the winter (short course) season and 31st December for summer (long course) season).
